President’s Note

Thank you to each individual who attended our October 2011 concert with Rebecca Richardson, Livio Ferrari, and Dr. Ron Doiron.  It was great fun to be back on stage with fellow singer, see old friends and to entertain our guests.  I was not surprised to see such a full house because I know how many fans Rebecca Richardson and Livio Ferrari have in town.  Wasn’t Rebecca amazing with her coloratura arias and smooth shift to jazz pianist/vocalist.  It was so great to hear her husband, Dan Heck, on the bass.  Livio Ferrari also did a good job with his Gershwin rarities and Verdi aria from Il Trovatore.  I added what I could!

Be sure to visit us again on November 8 to hear Beth Wininger in a solo recital, but with a few duets thrown in there for fun!  We are planning to sing the Adam and Eve duet from Haydn’s Creation.  We were joking at intermission that we will wear more than fig leaves, though.  The second half of the program will have Cole Porter, duets from State Fair, and more!

I’m hoping for a great season at the NOS, and if you are present, it will be!
